Path of Exile 2 is a new seven-act storyline that can be played alongside the original Path of Exile campaign.

When Grinding Gear Games announced Path of Exile 3.14 today, they also revealed something that fans have been waiting to see for years. A lot of people are enthused by the announcement of additional Path of Exile 2 gameplay. Path of Exile 2 has finally received some new information today. The new trailer is short and to the point. Let's take a look at what we can find here to dissect.

In this game, players will take on the role of a new hero, one who does not appear to have been tainted by the corruption of the Atlas. The story in the new gameplay shows a caravan of Maraketh on the trail of another enemy path of exile currency, and you must fight your way through an ancient ruin in order to make further advancement. A significant portion of this reveals the new setting in greater detail.

A significant part of the new seven-act campaign is that players will encounter a slew of new and challenging bosses. The new bosses appear to be menacing, and they appear to be a much more difficult fight. They clearly have significantly more health and new attacks, which contributes to the mystique and danger of this unexplored world. The permanent health bar for bosses should make it much easier to see how you're doing in battles. Yes, even the mini-bosses will be more difficult to defeat in Path of Exile 2.

This will come in handy when you're getting used to the new weapons that have been introduced into the game. GGG wants combat to be brutal, but also rewarding, according to Chris Wilson, even while leveling up. The new weapons that are being added to the game reinforce this by requiring the player to fight in a manner that is appropriate for the weapon. The Spear that they demonstrate in the gameplay demonstration forces more mobility than some players of the game are accustomed to. Other items have been added path of exile orbs, such as crossbows that use Bolt Skill Gems to add elemental damage or other damage buffs, among other things.

Grinding Gear Games is clearly attempting to both listen to and frustrate players at the same time. The buffs to rewards in Ultimatum paint a very positive picture for the game's long-term viability. Sure, some things have been nerfed to the ground, such as the availability of Talismans, but these changes lay the groundwork for the future of the game.

Ascendancy Classes have been added.
The characters in Path of Exile 2 are a new group of Exiles who fall into the same class archetypes as those in the first game. The new Ascendancy Classes, which differ from the old ones that are still available in the Path of Exile 1 campaign, can be selected by players.

System of Skill Gems has been introduced.
When Path of Exile 2 is released, it will feature the next generation of the game's legendary skill system. Support Gems are now socketed directly into Skill Gems, which eliminates many of the frustrations associated with the previous system while maintaining all of the depth that was previously present. It is now possible to six-link every skill that your character employs in the game.

Equipment that is completely new
The entire progression of armour and weapons has been completely redesigned from the ground up, as have all of the character models and animations. All of your previous microtransactions are still fully compatible with one another.

This major update is titled Conquerors of the Atlas, and it includes a completely redesigned endgame, among other changes. At the moment, after completing Path of Exile's campaign, players can proceed to explore the Atlas of Worlds, a map of randomly generated alternate dimensions that range from mildly challenging to completely insane. The Atlas of Worlds will be significantly altered when the new Conquerors of the Atlas expansion is released next month, making it an even more difficult challenge.

Path of Exile 2 is a new seven-act storyline that can be played alongside the original Path of Exile campaign. Both the old and new storylines ultimately lead to the same shared Atlas conclusion, which is described below. PvE2 includes all expansion content that has been developed over the last six years, as well as a new skill system, ascendancy classes, engine improvements and other enhancements.
